FAQ

What happens if it rains?

For Homecomings

Unfortunately, rescheduling isn't an option, but don’t worry, I’ll be there rain or shine to capture the moment you see your loved one again. These reunions are powerful no matter the forecast, and I’m prepared for anything.

For Flight Line Sessions

If the weather isn't cooperating, we can absolutely reschedule to make sure you get the best experience and images possible.

For Ceremony Sessions

I'm sure the event would be moved indoors or under a covered area. Do not worry, we will make it work!

What should we wear for our session?

If you’re looking for a little guidance, I always recommend solid colors or subtle patterns that won’t distract from the moment. Neutrals like cream, white, tan, or soft earth tones photograph beautifully, and deeper shades like navy or black add a timeless, classic feel. Most importantly, choose something that feels like you. Just be yourself.

How long does it take to get our photos?

Homecoming Sessions

You'll receive 2 sneak peek images within 24 hours, and your full gallery within 1 week of your session.

Flight Line Sessions

You'll receive 2 sneak peek images within 24 hours, and your full gallery within 2 weeks of your session.

Ceremony Sessions

Your full gallery will be delivered within 2 weeks of your session. (Please note: sneak peeks are not included for ceremonies.)

Do you travel to other locations (other than Jax or Mayport)?

At this time, I do not.

Do you photograph sessions outside of military life?

Although military life is at the heart of what I do, I’m absolutely open to photographing your family in other meaningful seasons. This includes maternity, newborn, and family sessions.

I love shooting at local parks or rooftops, but we can choose any location that feels like you. If you connect with my style and want to work together, just select “Other” when booking your session, and I’ll create a custom package that fits your vision.

Let’s make something beautiful, military or not.

How far in advance should we book you?

Many clients reach out as early as 6 months in advance to "save a spot" for their homecoming session. If you have an estimated return month, for example, “my spouse is expected back in April," I can hold a tentative spot for you. I typically reserve up to 5 estimated return spots per month.

Once you have an exact date, we’ll lock in your session officially. Because I only photograph one family or couple per homecoming, I avoid overbooking to make sure each story gets my full attention.

That being said, I’ve also had clients reach out just 2 days before their spouse returned — and if I’m available, I’ll be there. So even if it’s last-minute, it never hurts to ask!

What happens if homecoming gets delayed on the day of?

Delays are incredibly common with military homecomings, and I completely understand that things can change at the last minute. Since I only book one client per homecoming, I am able to stay flexible and on-call the day of your session, and I’ll be there whenever the moment finally happens. Whether that’s a few hours later or into the evening, I'll be there. I just need clear communication to ensure we don't miss this moment.

Your story matters to me, and I’m committed to capturing it, no matter the wait.
